item.

Anyone have a guess as to whom it might be?

Man, I'd love to see Para Ordnance get in there with a high cap LDA pistol.

Based on the description, I'd say H&K doesn't have much R&D to accomplish to get their sample ready.

i have heard from a reliable source that its NOT going to be a 1911.

Sounds like the military has bunch of 45 acp still .This might kill the 45 gap

But if sa adds an external safety I suppose they mean a manual slide type.To the new XD acp We might not be able to get any for 10 years

You know, I can completely understand going back to a .45. But even if they have a lot of left over .45 ACP, why not consider a .45 GAP? I wonder if the guys that made the specs even know about the GAP round. It would definately help those of us with smaller hands.
