Lowe's

So I went to their web page to order a gift card for my father. I am looking and none of the cards say "Merry Christmas". WTF? My wife hears me and says that the local Lowe's here is selling "Holiday Trees" while Home Depot is selling "Christmas Trees".

I select the "contact us" and said that I will be buy my father a gift card from Home Depot where I can select a "Merry Christmas" gift card. (They also have Happy Hanukkah, etc.).

I went on to ask them what was going through their minds when they decided on "Holiday Trees"?!?! I mean, Kwanzaa has something like the Menorah used for Hanukkah. The Christmas Tree is unique to the three religious holidays of which I am speaking. I do not think that a family celebrating Kwanzaa is going to run to Lowe's to get a tree since it is now a Holiday tree and not a Christmas tree. It is not part of their traditions.

By trying to satisfy a few left wing nut jobs and those too sensitive to hear the word Christmas, they are alienating not only the majority of the people in this country but a large portion of their potential customer base.

I will never step foot in a Lowe's as long as their policy remains as is. My choice.

What is going to happen if we are raising people that are so sensitive that they can't bear to hear "Merry Christmas"??

This country needs to be taken back from the hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, overly political correct a$$holes.

One good sign is that Home Depot and a few other big chains have started including "Christmas" in their stores and ads (Target for one).

MERRY CHRISTMAS AMERICA!!!!

I rang the bell for the Salvation Army at Sam's Club this morning. Of the 211 people from whom I was able to elicit a greeting or return greeting, 204 said "Merry Christmas", 7 said "Happy Holiday". I'd say those numbers were pretty good. (BTW, 17 whom I thanked and said Merry Christmas had no response at all--a disappointing number. Maybe they were deaf )

Liberals have been destroying this country for decades now! I hope that the US never tries to push our Liberal values (you know, sex and the city, desperate housewives, MTV, Fatherless homes, daycare etc etc) down the throats of other cultures, one day one of them may stand up and try to defend their moral, conservative and traditional beliefs! And my God, when that happens...the you know what will hit the fan.

What are they doing to alienate people who celebrate Christmas? I just checked their circular and there's stockings on the cover! Who's being over-sensitive here?

I don't mean to pick on you personally, but come on. Are you offended religiously? Christmas trees have nothing to do with Christ.

Happy whatever-you-celebrate everybody.

Oh, and take a peek at the top of this page. It says HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Better stay away from here, it's obviously run by liberals.

So why the obvious half assed attempt to be PC? Stockings but no Merry Christmas? The reason they put the stockings is that they do not say [literally] Merry Christmas. If they did, the stockings would be removed. Why can't I simply get a gift card that says Merry Christmas from Lowe's?

I better ask the priest in our church to have the tree removed then. Did I say I was religiously offended? I am offended at these retailers making big bucks during the Christmas Holiday and then refuse to acknowledge Christmas.

BTW, the page has said Happy Holidays for about 10 months now. Since last Christmas season. Perhaps the person who runs the site is Jewish. I think they are spending too much time being PC myself.

I hate to agree with him (well not really) but he is right...christmas tree is pagan...along with the easter bunny. Santa Claus? Anyway, I just found myself at a loss...i mean...back in the day Christmas trees were pretty much banned in USA by the conservatives....now, due to the progressive liberal germans of that era we use christmas trees and dismiss the progressive liberals (who not long ago gave us our christmas trees) who want to take them away now...DAMN IT...I DON'T KNOW WHO TO HATE!!! Freakin progressives are so fickle!!

LONG LIVE CONSERVATIVE, MORAL, GOD FEARING PRINCIPLES! (i'm serious too)

Not enough Christians know that the "Christmas Tree" is pagan.

All of this bull**** about not calling them Christmas trees is actually in their favor, but they don't know it yet.
