Beretta....Now Cheap to Buy (Update)

Today, at my local FFL dealer, I just happened
to be looking over his latest dealer catalog flyers.
I was floored when I saw the prices on the Beretta.

Those suckers, the 92s, are down around $300 and
that is in SS.

On the Beretta Forum last week, someone was talking
about the price of Berettas not holding up very well
over time. I just might have to buy a SS 92 from my
dealer. He does me 5% over his cost, for sure, as I
look at the invoices. Those are darn good prices.

Also of interest was the S&W model 637 for a few bucks
less than $300 and the model 638 at $313, both are snub
nosed wheel guns.

I'll sell you my CX4 storm for $550.

The sad thing is that I might actually have to do that if I don't find a job soon...

Ed, you might've saved me a lot of money. Do you think that will carry over to the retail side soon?

I don't understand some of the negative opinions of the 92s. I've had mine for 15 yrs. I've never had a malfunction, ever. I've found no ammo that it doesn't shoot. The finish is excellent. And I can't tell you how rounds that I've put through that thing. Maybe I'm just lucky. But if that's the case, why didn't I win anything in the raffle (or lotto)

Hey Mav,
Just make sure he gets all of the extras like the top and bottom rails, sling, red dot sight, and bi-pod. That would make the deal set in stone for me. I love my storm, just need money for the bottom rail and forward pistol grip.

I always liked the Beretta and the only thing keeping me from one was the price. A Stainless 92 was about $700 new and blued was about $50 less at $650. $300 is awful tempting

Now if the H&Ks would drop in price I would be glad to add one into my collection for sure.

THere's a big difference between the SS Beretta you can buy now and the old ones. The new ones have a lot of plastic parts.
Here's my "old one". It's a great gun, eats everything and is quite accurate.
