Since mine was also one of the earliest days (30 Aug) I will try to call SA on Monday AM and see if they are working on mine yet.

I was assured that the guns are being stored and will be upgraded in that order.

The online status ("Tag Sent" or "Gun Received") is irrelevant in this regard, as it pertains to the first few days of shipments, as the SA people are going back now and entering these statuses for the first wave of guns.

So, even if your gun got there on the first day and your status still says "Tag Sent" or has just changed to "Gun Received", this timing of status change online doesn't correspond to the actual position of your gun in the upgrade line (if yours got there in the first few days after the recall).

I was assured by two separate CS people (including a very informed supervisor) that the guns ARE in order and not to worry about the online status statements, since my gun got there on September 3rd.

Of course, we can choose to believe or not to believe it, but I didn't detect a hint of deception or uncertainty in the voices of the people I spoke to.

I will rest assured.
I've read every post on this thread, and of course all of yours. Like I said before, I appreciate all the calls and responses that were received. I'm hoping everyone's information is accurate, but being a realist and one that requires accurate information, documentation, or pictures am still a little skeptical because of my background in people behaviors in my prior employment. I'm not angry, or upset just not sold 100% yet.

I can't believe, how much time has passed since then.

"Trust, but verify" is an ancient Russian proverb that Reagan learned during his dealings with the Soviet Union... It was a perfect fit for Reagan and his policies regarding the USSR.

We need another one like Reagan!

I got a package today from SA, and until I opened it I thought it was my XDs. I forgot that I ordered some mags a few weeks ago...

OK, let talk hypotheticals...

I am on a car forum that has a large "Shooting Range" section. There is someone there that has posted some information that I am leaning towards believing. Has anyone else heard this?

Quote:
Quick update on this, the first round of repair parts is supposed to come in on the 16th. Enough to fix the first 1000 and then supposedly 500 per day made after that.
Quote:
I have a friend who works there, directly under the company president. When I asked him about the 500 repair kits every day after the first 1k......he laughed and said don't bank on it!
Quote:
He also said Springfield was saying 2 years total but if parts come in as scheduled he thought it could be done in 6 mos. Gonna be a 24 mil loss for them.
Even if they were doing 1000 a day and running 7 days a week, they did recall 200,000+ guns. That being said, is there any chance of Springfield issuing refunds? Am I the only one that thinks ~6 months is completely unacceptable?
