Accuracy of the XD-9 vs XDS 45

I went to the range today and shot 100 rounds of 9mm and 100 of .45 ACP.

With the XD-9 my groupings are about 2 inches in diameter at 20 feet.
With the XDS 45 my groupings are much larger, about 7 inches in diameter at 20 feet.

For those of you that own or have shot both of these guns, I am interested in your experience with their accuracy compared to each other.

I sure wish I could shoot the XDS with the same level of accuracy.

Accuracy of the XD-9 vs XDS 45

I routinely shoot 2-3" groups with my XDs at 7 yds shooting at a steady pace, 3 shots in 5-7 seconds.

Practice, practice, practice.

5 shots @ 10 yards. Maybe the 100 rounds of 9 wore on you.

+1. With plenty of range time, I'm now shooting around 2" groups at 8 yards. I'm slowly going further, just started practicing 10 yds. I hope to replace my stock sights with either Truglo HDs or ameriglo hack sights...saving my $$.

Great gun, enjoy...happy shooting!

I've marveled at the accuracy of the XDS. It's a better gun than I am a shooter.

Here's my last trip to the range (details below)

Quote:
[X/Y] (1/1 = Top Left - 4/3 Bottom Right)

[1/1] - XDS 5 Shots @ 10m
[1/2] - XDS 10 Shots @ 7m One Handed (Strong)
[1/3] - XDS 5 Shots @ 7m
[2/1,2/2,3/1,4/1,4/2] 15 Shots @ 7m 3 rotations 1 shot per target
[2/3] - XDS 5 Shots @ 7m or 10m, forgot to take notes...
[3/2] - XDS 10 Shots @ 20m
[3/3] - Random Floaters from Daughter
[4/3] - P22 8 of 10 Shots @ 7m One Handed (Weak) (2 shots off screen to the right)

Is the 9mm out ? I haven't been on this side of town in a while

I am itching for a new ccw for pocket carry , did they release the 9 yet ?

Try reading it again...

XD-9

Besides the XDS is too big for pocket carry, either 45ACP or 9MM..
If you want a 9mm pocket carry, then a Kahr PM9 or CM9 would be in order..
