I just picked one up too recently. I am going to the range with it on Tuesday. I can't wait. I am a little concerned about a few of the wear issues. ( spring, barrel).

I was refering to light strikes, slide won't stay open after mag is empty, wear on barrel and spring. After hitting the range tonight and cleaning the gun I have no worries what so ever. The XDS performed perfect and after cleaning and inspecting it nothing was out of the ordinary !!! I am a very happy XDS owner.
