Ammo for XDS 45

I put about 180 rounds through mine.

50 rounds of Speer TMJ lawman
50 rounds of PMC Bronze
50 rounds of Remington UMC (extremly dirty)

All 230 grain. Only problem was 2-3 light primer stikes due to failure to return to battery with the PMC. I reloaded and they all fired.

10 rounds of Gold Dot 185 grain
10 rounds of Gold Dot 200 grain +p
10 rounds of Gold Dot 230 grain.

All the Gold Dots fired and that's what I plan to carry so I'm not too turned off. I'd like to find some more PMC to see if I get any more battery failures but I'll continue to feed it what ever I find to make sure it works well enough.

Havent shot mine yet. Just picked up some WWB $27/bx of 50. Things are extremely thin around here. Any good places to buy online(Fed HST, Win RangerT)? Pm if need be. Thanks.

Thanks guys. With the way things are today as far as ammo goes I'll just shoot what I can get. I was able to pick up 8 boxes of PMC 45's so I'll be using that at the range.

I don't run steel thru it but every bit of brass in either FMJ or HP that I've fed thru it has worked fine.

Haven't had one FTF/FTE in around 400-500 rounds.

yeah..I would keep an eye on them though. they usually restock pretty quickly.

allthough I was in my local academy last week and they had just restocked nearly every caliber and type you could want.

I haven't shot any factory loads. With that being said, I have shot my handloads with four different bullets. Speer 200g flying ashtrays, 230g & 185g Golden Sabers and Hornady 230g XTP. All ran flawlessly!

First 100rds to go through were PMC bronze. Bought at the range for $23/box of 50. No issues with it, but was definately dirty. It is definitely hard to find ammo right now, but was able to find 3 100rd boxes of 230g WWB FMJ's at lunch for the next range trip.

I like to practice with Speer Lawman 230 gr. (250 rounds so far) & will eventually most likely carry Federal HST 230 gr. (50 rounds so far).

The gun, thus far, has performed flawlessly.
