Ammo for XDS 45

Mine has not been picky with ammo either.
Have even run reloads thru mine.

My XDs feeds any brass cased ammo I have tried like..Winchester Ranger 230's, S&B 230 as well as WWB & old Glasers I had. What it will not tolerate is lead reloads ... at least my lead reloads. Fails to fully chamber them. That tells me that maybe it's chamber is a little tight? The same lead reloads feed perfect in my Glock 36 as well as my 1911's. I give it a pass though. It's not the end of the world that my perfect carry gun hates lead reloads

Allow me to pile on... For my XDS I have fired WWB - 230 grain FMJ. PMC - 185 gr JHP and flat nose. Also local range gun store reloaded 230 gr FMJ. For the earlier post about RWS, I have shot many rounds of it through my XD9sc.

I did pick up some Winchester white box 45's at Wal-Mart while they had some and I do have some PMC on order but that's all except for the Hornady Critical Defense I plan on carrying.

I found 45 CD at targetsportsusa.com for $0.99/round with free shipping for 200 rounds, so I bought it. I couldn't find it anywhere locally and that was the best price I could find online and in stock. I'm hoping to get some target rounds from them when they get more in stock, best price locally has been about $0.39/round.

Just got mine but so far it eats whatever I feed it: Federal 230gr FMJ, Hornady Critical Defense 185gr JHP, Federal Hydra-Shok Personal Defense Low Recoil 165gr JHP. I was worried about the lighter loads but I have experienced no failures.

My XDS is like all the rest, it eats anything I feed it.
I carry it with Gold Dot 230 JHP.

I had consistent jam issues with Blazer aluminum ..not so with Winchester white box

I tried differnent ammo in mine and had no problems at all. I did have one misfire due to slide not in battery. I reloaded the round in the chamber and it fired. This in now everyday carry weapon.

I haven't gotten out to the range but hopefully the XDS isn't too picky. My Colt .45's will eat anything that I put into them.

About 600 rounds without a single issue.
