Lets help the folks who are looking for one find one.

The Academy on I35 and Mcniel in Roundrock Texas had an XD-S on Thursday. I think it was $589 for a Bi tone.

That's actually a fantastic price for not being at a gun show. BiTones typically are well into 600's

I didn't realize they were all that hard to find. At least two of my LGS has them in stock, and I've been told that their distributors have plenty. And there are 50+ listed on Gunbroker, most with no reserve price.

Here in Paducah Ky I didn't see any at the gun show but I saw several brand new in the box at the local gun shop and a pawn shop. They have them around here easy.

I was looking for a "pocket" gun and was considering a M&P Shield, then the XDs popped back up in my sights. I stopped in at a LGS and they had a XDs on the shelf. There were a couple other guys looking over guns and I wiggled my way in and got a hold of the XDs and told the gent behind the counter that this one was sold! They had sold six of them in less than 24 hours. The other guys drooling over the guns looked over the XDs too and one of them said he would have bought it if I had not.

There was a black one at the Bass Pro in Columbia, MO. The price was under $550, I'm not sure of the exact price. I was surprised to see it because the shelves were bare and all that was left was the XDs and a few Taurus'.
