I'm not buying one until I find one for less than < $12. Ridiculous.

I have had plastic parts made before. The steel mold for making the parts probably costs around $2000 or less. Then once the mold is paid for, the actual parts probably cost around $.50 to $1.00 each, to produce.
It could be cheaper, but $6 ain't too bad I guess.
Are they shipping these via UPS or USPS? Each grip extension probably weighs 2 ounces or less. USPS 1st class is $1.64 for 2 ounces, and a padded envelope is about $.10. If you ordered 6 of them and the package weighed 12 ounces, USPS 1st Class is $3.65
I own an online retail business, so I know how much shipping costs. We charge $3.95 shipping for most orders. Packing supplies are cheap when bought in bulk. Some of these FFLs on GunBroker are crazy with their prices. $25 to ship a 6 ounce mag? And don't try to say that some of the cost is for "handling". That's BS. Handling is part of business expenses.
Oh, and don't get me started on the guys that charge 3% extra when you pay with credit card. You need to factor those costs into the retail price. Grrrr.
You'll do more business and have happier customers if you offer actual shipping cost or free shipping, and don't add any extra fees. Just because it's a gun doesn't mean people need to get screwed. We are already getting screwed with the rising retail prices, every time a liberal politician talks about gun control.
