Weapon Shield is a great oil for lubricating. I'm going to use it on my XDs when I get it.

I experienced light strikes when I used Tetra gun grease instead of oil. I went back to oil and had no more problems.

The issue has been mentioned by several members here.

I use Slide Glide lite on all my pistols. Just use a small modelers brush to apply a thin film on the rails/wear spots and you shouldn't have to worry about it oozing out on to your clothes. I pocket carry an LCP in a DeSantis Nemesis and IWB carry a M&P9c in a SuperTuck and don't get grease on my clothes.

I use ezox and slide glide on all my pistols and love both products. like above poster said, use a small brush to apply a thin coat of slide glide to rails and barrel.

I've used ballistol for years. If it works, don't fix it. I did clean the crap out of the gun which was filthy/greasy from the factory. Especially the striker channel. It looked like someone had sneezed boiling road tar in there.

Ballistol is marketed as a clean/lube product, and I have to say it does clean and lube. I clean the barrel with it too, before running patches.

Not a single problem with the XDs. I feel for you guys that are having problems.
