Good pictures (most I see are not as defined) ...
I would call Springfield and send them those pictures. I'm not a gunsmith but that does not look normal ..

How many rounds fired? Do you do a lot of dry firing? It actually looks normal if you've put a few rounds thru it or done a lot of dry fire. If you are concerned then call SA. I think if you search this forum you will find a lot of strikers that look like yours. You shouldn't try to change it. It is part of the breakiin process of the gun fine tuning itself.

Just for a little potential reference...
I pulled my striker out after I had shot 150 rounds and it was pristine. I know that is a very low round count but some here seem to have encountered this kind of wear very early on.
I plan on putting another 150 through it tomorrow. Maybe I will pull it again and check it. For sure I will report on the performance of the gun in a separate thread.

Ditto. About 300-400 through mine, looks the same as the pic. Here's more food for thought....I dry fire a lot. My wife's XDs doesn't look like that at all, looks almost pristine. She does not dry fire. Hmmmmm.....btw....I need to get some snap caps. Hahahaha!!!!

i shot 50 rounds threw it with one light strike but maybe i helped the slide go back but i have found out that you should just let it go with full force, and i did dry fire it quit a lot until i read that i shouldn't do that

Same here. I may look into ordering a new pin, and not dry firing without snap caps anymore. We'll see. Hasn't seemed to make any difference in overall performance.

Whas I just don't understand is why they say not to dry fire this thing, and it obviously causes firing pin damage, minor, but still. Yet, you have to dry fire it to field strip it. Oh well. Lol
