If you've sent your XDS to Springfield for repair, post the diagnosis

I was thinking this would be an easier solution rather than researching the dozens of threads for updates. There are a couple guns that have come back from Springfield for repairs or issues already. So, lets keep it simple to educate everyone. If you sent your XDS in for repair, please list what the issue or malfunction was, and Springfield's diagnosis. This should make it easier to give everyone a "feel" for what one can expect with similar issues, and cut down on speculation. Again, lets keep it clean and simple. Only guns that were sent to Springfield!!!

I think I experienced lime 13 various failures. Returned with the comment that it was inspected with no issues found. Test fired "extensively with three brands of ammo". No failures of any kind.

[QUOTE] Fedex just dropped it off. Man, this thing is soaking wet! Here are the notes.

Replaced broken striker guide
Striker markings are normal
Cleaned & lubed
Extensively tested w/3 types of ammo
Federal 230GR FMJ
Speer 230GR Gold Dot JHP
Remington 230GR JHP Golden Saber
No problems

I can't stress enough how quick this was. The pistol is here on my desk less than one week after it's arrival at Springfield. What great service!

Work is crazy, so I'm not sure when I'll make it to the range this week, but hopefully tomorrow. I'll keep you all posted. [QUOTE]

[QUOTE] Alright guys, here's a short update. Got my XDS back from the factory today. More oil on it then I've ever put on any of my firearms. I am going to say that "put a drop" actually translates to a REALLY BIG DROP, when oiling this firearm. I will let you know how it performs tomorrow, but judging by the difference in lubrication, I am going to bet on it running without problems. So, for everyone having issues, just make sure there is a HEALTHY amount of oil on all friction points. More to come tomorrow after the range session. [QUOTE]

[QUOTE] Range update:

I am going to blame myself until further notice. I'll be going to the range everyday next week. I'm frustrated with myself right now.

My dainty girly wrists must be the problem. I have no other theories. [QUOTE]

Post that somewhere else!

I think you're mixed up. I was asking ' Esquilax ' what the problem was with his XDS. I know you don't have any problems.

What was your problem?
After proper lubing and around 320 rounds, I had about 10 each of high primer strikes and failures to return to battery. Also one bolt-over-base malfunction.
