Why is XDS illegal in CA?
Glad I live in Missouri and picked up my XDS at Ultimate Defense range in O'Fallon yesterday. Shot it, love it! I noticed on the box it is illegal in California, why is that? Magazine capacity is less than 10.

Wow! I had no idea how "Restricted" Kalifornians really were! I'm glad I don't have to worry about that here in Florida!

I believe it wont be in kommiefornia as it has no mag disconnect feature that that state requires.

Even if it meets the requirements, it takes time to get on the list. And as already stated, every variant. The bi tone might not make the list on the same pass.
And it probably has to say something on it about causing cancer. Everything causes cancer in Cali... 
As to the mag safety. Isn't a Glock Cali legal? 1911s?

I think in Kali they require an internal lock with a "key" also not just a thumb safety.

Winner! You're correct.
To be on the list and not have a mag disconnect, you had to be on that list before they added the requirement. It doesn't matter to the anti-gun hacks in Sacramento that the XD and XDm are functionally identical.
