There are 5 XDS (as of 3:30) left at GreenTop Sporting Goods in Ashland/Glenn Allen, VA
Just a heads up for the dudes in my area! Get em' while there hot!
5 sold since Friday. They will hold one if you ask to reserve it. I was lucky enough to snag one!!

Price is $569.99 plus $35 shipping to Florida. Local FFL transfer is $25. I'm pumped.
Also wanted to let you guys know that at roughly 8 P.M. (Eastern Time) they had 3 left.
I originally pre-ordered from Impact Guns back in March. They say they still don't know when they are going to get any in and there are a lot of people ahead of me supposedly. So I really appreciate this thread.

I just came from Greentop, where I have always been treated well. They have 1 XDs left and also have a bunch of Smith & Wesson Shields in both 9 and .40. I held both and found both to be comfortable. The major difference in feel, to me, was the grip texture on the XDs rather than the relative smoothness of the Shield.
My dilemma: Which to get?? I prefer .45 ACP, but the Shield is really nice to hold.
Feel free to make a suggestion, anybody.

Well if you "prefer .45 ACP" then I think you answered your question right there. Posing the Shield vs. Xds question here will likely come back heavily in favor of the Xds haha. I bought a Shield 9 a month ago and couldn't be happier with it, that said I will also be picking up an Xds in the near future because you can never have too many guns  AND when in doubt get BOTH

Dont know but that 1 XDS aint gonna be there long.
Could always get em' both!!
