XDS extended magazine
I was looking through the manual on there website
On the parts list it shows the standard 5 round magazine
It also shows the extended magazine is a 7 round magazine
I wasnt sure if anyone had posted if it was confirmed a 7 rounder. Looks like more than enough space to get the pinky on there even for big hands.

Hmm... According to that manual, it looks like the XD-S is also going to have swappable back-straps (and Xtensions) too! Nice.
Since Spare mags are going to be at a premium for a while, this looks like yet another reason for me to wait for the Fall to get one.
(I hope they do another Gear Up this year.)

Yeah it has two interchangeable backstraps. Same for magazine depending on which back strap you use.

I tried a 7 round mag at the NRA Convention in St. Louis, they were not allowed to be displayed but several of us got to compare them with the 5 round mag. The 7 round extends the grip lenth similar to the S&W Shield. I think Springfield was smart to shorten the grip frame for deep concealment, yet offer the option of a mag that improves the grip length.

I need 2 of the 7 rounders. Not much info on how long to wait though...

My money is on a miscommunication between production and marketing. Production missed a benchmark date but marketing gave a green light on the ads anyway. It could habe been something as simple as the foam padding for inside the case didn't get there in time to ship...

I email springfield and the responce was that the 7 round and mag xtension sleeves will be available by the months end, and that to keep checking their online store as they will be added as soon as they become available.
