What kind of rounds were they? There is plenty of room . If you do not rack the slide hard enough to eject an unfired round, that will cause a hangup in any auto. Slap that thing like a back talkin' child!!!!

Congrats on snatching up an XD-S.

I've had the same experience on mine with the Remington Home Defense 230's. Like you said its either rack it hard or it isn't coming out. Figured it would fall out the bottom when I dropped the mag but it didn't. Actually took some coaxing to get it out. Would be nice if it was easier so when I'm letting someone have a look at the gun and I want to unload it. Havent tried this on the Remington FMJ or Federal Hydras yet, will test in a few minutes.

Edit: After testing it does the same with any type ammo. Just going to have to rack it harder than your average bear.

I pulled a $500 price, but it may be because I do a lot of business with the guy. Actually surprised me since it was the first one to come through his door. He even knew of the outrageous gunbroker prices, so it would have been easy enough for him to squeeze another $75 out of it.

Got a call from my local FFL dealer this afternoon but because he was leaving his office early I made an appointment on Monday to take care
of the paperwork and take my "baby" home.A few more days won't hurt
too much.Many thanks to all the members of this forum and esp.Bonehead
for the all the great info,ect.that helped me decide to go ahead and make

Just picked mine up today from a dealer on Mich Gun Owner(MGO) website. He gave me a great price $490.00. I won't get to the range until next week. I'll give an update after my range visit.

My LGS/FFL hooked me up with a XDS counter mat too!

XDS counter mat available on Springfield's website (under the Men's section for some odd reason) for $10.50 plus S/H of course. They have both left and right hand views.

Went to a gun show today and looked all over for one but none to be found. That's the frost one I've been to in years. I was supposed at the prices. Academy was 100 yards away and you could've pretty much have gotten anything 20% cheaper there with our the $8 entry fee.
