I get hit my a grenade in a door. Just have some nerve damage on my left hand and loose grip strength frequently. Which is why I choose to retire. I appreciate the support!
Wow! Glad you're relatively ok.

Got mine this week, after knocking on every door in town for a couple months.

Well worth the wait for me. The trigger is excellent for me. Just as manageable as any .40 I have tried. It just disappears when holstered inside my waistband. Quite comfortable. THIS seems to be my 'Goldilocks Gun'.

The paddle holster is ok, but not great. The mag holster is too tight on one side. I will try to adjust it later. If it doesn't work, I'll call the factory.

The documents in the case lid are driving me nuts. How's that for a complaint? But every time I open the case the paper work and junk in the lid fall all over the table. Ha! That should tell you that I am mighty pleased! (...if that's all I got to complain about. Huh?)

Same problem with the paperwork... Just took all that extra crap out and left the manual. So far that's the only problem iv had if you call that a problem. Taking it to a gun club tomorrow for some transitional shooting so hoping to put about 200 more rds through it.

HO-LY CRAP!!!

Shot the XDS .45 today.

AMAZING!

I can't tell you the last time I shot a .45. I'm all 9mm. So I was a bit nervous. In my experience, if you half ass the shot and grip, it will tq a bit laterally. Nothing unmanageable. However, a "normal" shot is insane. Follow up shots come easy and fast. With stock triggers I always find it hard to consistently find the reset. This one is so short and so defined, I was popping off 6 rounds with tight groups at about 15-20 ft in around 3 seconds.

This is going to stun some and others will think I'm full of it. But rapidly shooting the XDS was noticeably MORE manageable, comfortable, AND accurate than my Shield 9.

I figure the XDS 9 will be even more manageable, but if I'm comfortable with the .45, why not? I'd rather have a .45 to carry than a 9 right? So I told the owner to find me one stat.

By the way, after shooting in a defensive simulation, 6 rounds seems like plenty.

I ordered 2 7 rnd mags and extensions today. Call Springfield up and ask for them. $39.99 each and they ship with the #1 and #2 grip extensions. No Father's Day discount unfortunately.

Just picked mine up a few hours ago. Green Top in Glen Allen VA got 10. Local LEO grabbed one right before I got there. So as I left there were still 8. Anybody in the area that cant find one can call up and give them CC info over the phone and pick it up whenever you can get up there.

Overall I like the feel. It will be a backup for me since my XD45 service still fits my hand better (and Ive gotta wait for Raven to start making holsters for the XDS)

Just got one off of Gunbroker today. Was just browsing and saw an auction ending in about 5 minutes. Bid was only up to $590 so I jumped in and bought it. Totally unexpected. Probably paid a little extra but what the heck, will be here Monday and will post pics....
