Converting XDm .40 to 9mm...?

Greetings all!

Anyone ever convert an XDM .40 (4.25") to 9MM? is this something supported by SA? Any idea on cost/effort? Would it require a 'smith?

Same questions for the Walther PPS, just in case anyone knows that too!

TX!

Im not sure if that was specific enough. Going 40 to 9mm isn't that hard. They make 9mm bull barrels that will fit in the slide. Then you just need 9mm magazines.

Some fitting might be needed on that barrel but not much if you get semi fit. Match target barrels will have to be installed by a gunsmith.

You can also go to .357 Sig and keep your .40 magazines. You just need the barrel.

I was wondering the same thing? are there any problems doing this? Accuracy, Shell Ejection? With a smaller round matching up with the bolt, extractor, ejector? Can the lighter load handle a .40cal grade return spring?

Thanks guys! Would you use one of these conversions for an EDC? Will SA perform this kind of conversion using factory parts?
