Standard handgun response is two, then assess. One might not be enough, and three might not be too many. Why not just carry a revolver instead of the XDS?

Well, it does have 1 more than a snubby revolver, is thinner and is faster to load. There's a market for it, but I'm lukewarm on it too. It's too big for a pocket, and I already IWB a 7+1 compact 1911, only a few oz more, no sweat.

IF the 9 and 40 are the size of the PM9 and PM40, THEN we're talking. That is pocketable.

Now, if it were a TRUE pocket pistol they'd have something.

Agreed and that's why I'm waiting for this gun to come out in a 9mm. If its about the same size/weight as many of the others out there but with XDM-like egros (no manual safety, and esp. an ambi mag release that is absent on any of the current single stack 9mms out there), I'll totally get one! Here's hoping it gets here soon though!

True, but it's iffy at best. Not only does it feel breakable, the location (lower trigger guard) is too close to the trigger for my comfort.

However, she shoots damn fine.

True it does, but I'm not a fan of that style of release. I prefer the traditional button release. Just a personal preference.
