Why no pre ordering?
I am going to buy one but why no pre ordering???

I just preordered one today. Kind of. I called a couple gun stores and some wouldn't take a preorder because they had no idea when they would be available and the item was not even listed yet with any of their distributors. One gun store put me on a list for when they do come in but wouldn't take any money. I asked if they had any idea as to when they might be in. They've been given varying time frames ranging from next week to sometime this summer. Hoping for next week.

Some Online stores will let people Pre-Order, but the Brick & Mortar stores I know don't want to take people's money when they don't know when the product is actually going to arrive.

They'd prefer people asking 'Are they in yet?', as opposed to "Where's The Gun I Paid You For?!?"

My LGS let me pre-pay for one, now it's just a waiting game. I don't bug the piss out of him though, so maybe that's why

My LGS also took deposits for preorders. They have a list and you are positioned on the list based on deposit amt then by date. I prepaid in full for the XDs and was first to do so, so I am first on their list. Can't wait!

I ended up paying $510 OTD, and I think I was first to "prepay" for one as well. he said I get the first one he gets! Super nice guy, and very reasonable!

I put $500 down initially and my LGS will be selling for $559.99. So OTD it was $599.19.

I thought about pre ordering one but would rather wait until an official release date is announced... if that will ever happen.
