XDs is on the New American Rifleman magazine that came in the mail today.
3 page spread
It shows is ships with 2 magazines. I would love to know if they are both 5 round mags or maybe a 5 and a 6 round or 7 round mag

they've been pretty clear from the start that it comes with two flush 5 round mags, there has been no indication at all that they will even make larger mags with grip extensions

Thats unfortunate, I was close to buying a PPS in 9mm and am still considering it. I am waiting to see more on the XDs. I am not a ballistic expert but what I read I am nervous about getting a 45 with a 3.3" barrel.
As for capacity I am not concerned with only carrying a 5+1 for defense purposes.
Anyone out there think a short barrel 45 is a bad idea?

I think I will wait for the XD(S) .40S&W to come out...Nothing wrong with a .45 but I seem to prefer the larger quantity that comes with the .40...

Thanks for the advice. I want to stay on the XD platform since my only handgun right now is an XDM 9.
I know the only way I will carry often will be with as small (and thin) a gun as possible.
The only other guns I have been considering have been the Kimber Solo, PPS 9 and now the XDs45
