Where's the striker retaining pin?

I was looking at the pics of the slide and I failed to see a striker retainer pin. Nothing but what seems to be the pin that holds the extractor in place. Also, the trigger remains depressed after being pressed like that "other" gun...

Anyone have any details on this new design being used? I've been searching for information, but have yet to find anything about this.

No retainer pin the extractor acts as the loaded chamber indicator. The XDs is technically a single action. BUT look at the pictures I took of the pistol with the slide off........the slide looks really similar to a Glock, even the placement and shape of the drop safety. And it had a striker sleeve just like a Glock.

Most other striker guns don't seem to need the pin, you just shape the bottom of the striker so it can't rotate within the channel so the sear can always grab it.
As for the trigger, it will only stay back when the striker is dropped and not re-cocked so it wouldn't matter when the gun is "live" and I guess could act as a striker indicator of sorts.

Yeah, it was that picture and the the similarities of this that got me thinking. I did see a stand alone loaded chamber indicator on the top, in the traditional XD location, only a bit longer. I was just a bit curious about this change in design.

Right, and that is true about other other striker systems. But, I realize now that my question does not quite illustrate what I meant it to. I know that there has been a change, and I was aware that the retaining pin is not necessary. I was just seeking a bit more info on this new system and the reason for the change. Also, I pointed out the trigger to state another noticed similarity it has with the glock, and understand the trigger will reset when re-cocked.
