Yes, a few months late so that they can correct/perfect the gun. Oh the horror, absolute horror, of having to wait a few months to ensure the XDS doesn't introduce unexpected risks. (e.g. slam firing, drop firing, recoil spring issues ala Gen4 9MM Glocks, etc.) Remember, the XDS is said to have a different trigger design than the XDM or XD.
Perhaps it was the impatient, high-risk takers that needed the Ruger SR-9 so quickly! Ya know, the gun that after shipping needed to have its trigger redesigned to make it safe. How about S&W's brain-dead modification of the Walther PPK/S where its firing pin was hitting the primer while appyling the safety! oh oh I wanted one of those... right away!
