While Ive never had to shoot at a person I have had to shoot a wounded whitetail with my 40sc and the first shot found its home about 15ft out with no problem. So yes I think people who are bitching about a gun that was clearly designed to be a very low profile CC gun not having a 20rd mag is stupid.
Just because my post count is low doesnt mean Im new to firearms. I find that you can learn a lot by sitting back and reading rather than posting a bunch of jiberish.

Perhaps not, but you are obviously new to high stress shooting situations.
I've watched people who are crack shot hunters, and can carve out the X-ring on a square range empty a 17 round magzine at another person shooting back at them, and miss with all rounds (the other person missed, as well). Force on force training with simunitions is an eye opener, when your opponent is moving, you're moving, and you're both trying harder not to get hit than land a hit. And I'm willing to bet it's even more so when it's a real bullet on a two-way range, not just wax that'll leave a bruise.
So you might just want to be the one sitting back and learning something.

if the other guys makes his first 6, and you don't, what good do the rest of your rounds do you? I'd be willing to bet that the more rounds you fire, the more stressed you get and the harder it will be to hit your target. Do you think your second 6 rounds are more likely to hit than the first 6? I highly doubt it. Start missing with 13+ rounds and now you have collateral damage to deal with. But what do you expect in a single stack, you won't get 10 plus rounds in a compact single stack, ever, so either you want a slim gun or you don't, it's stupid to complain about it. If you think the capacity is too low, then obviously you aren't someone who was wanting a single stack, and the xds was not made for you, it was made for those who wanted a single stack xdm.
still I have to wonder why 6 rounds of .45 is too low, but 7 or 8 rounds of 9mm isn't, no way will I carry less than 10 rounds of 9mm over .45 acp, it makes absolutely no sense to complain about low capacity in the big caliber, yet beg for the low capacity small caliber

For a brief second I envisioned you concealing one of these:

And I got a nice kick out of it.
Between concealing a 5" 1911 and a XDm 3.8c, I'm not really worried about a weight of 29 ounces, the XDs will definitely be something I'll check out if and when I see one in a store.

I get really stressed at the range when I don't hit center every time, I am so used to rifles where I rarely mis the red, I have to remind myself that my targets are smaller than a human head, and if I can do even close to that on a silhouette in high stress i'll probably be ok, but getting so hell bent on hitting a tight hole dead center with 100 plus round is killing me. Shooting birds and running whitetail are easy compared to this lol
