If that's the price, it's a very real possibility.

But what I really don't understand, is how someone can complain about the capacity of a single stack compact, what the heck do you expect? a 10 inch handle?

This x2!
I often have to check to make sure my gun is still in it's holster! That is how comfortable it is to me, now almost half the size? I am in heaven.
People, the firearm was just announced, let someone get their hands on it for a proper review before we start hammering on it.

Depends on your plan lol.
I'm far more curious about the reason for the weight difference in the S than I am complaining about it.
My Kahr CM-9 does what I need a pocket pistol to do, the XDs will simply go on the list of "must have" lol.

i need my pockets for phone, wallet, keys, not interested in having a gun in one, but a slimmer gun will fit much better iwb, my goal has been to conceal without adjusting my wardrobe, and a gun like the xds fits right in to that

I don't think anyone has asked this yet, but from the photos it looks like the loaded chamber indicator is much larger on the XDs than it is on the XD or the XDm. does anyone have any photos of this when there is a round chambered. I looked at a Ruger sr9c and loved the gun in the shop, but as soon as I loaded it, that thing (the LCI) stuck up like a sail and was painted orange. I hated the gun after that. Glad I didn't already buy it.
