XDM-9 Mag Release Problem

I purchased an XD-9 in October to requalify for my Texas CHL. I LOVED this tool. However, I really wanted an XDM-9, but could not find one any where. I finished my class, found an XDM-9, sold the XD-9. I really LOVE my new XDM-9 . The trigger is so much better than the XD. I REALLY like the extra 3 rounds in the mag. Now comes the problem. With a full 19 rounds in the mag, the mag release is almost impossible to function and eject the loaded mag. If I only load 18 rounds, the mag functions OK and with 17 there is no problem. I want to carry with ALL 19. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any idea what could be causing this?

I have contacted Springfield, but have not had a reply.

There are several threads about this issue if you want to look into it further.

Basically, it is due to the magazine springs. Many have simply left the magazines fully loaded for a couple of weeks and the problem has gone away.

Yep just break it in it will smooth out with time.

yeah itll wear in... but from a "Surviving" standpoint... if you get in a firefight you won't have to worry about ejecting a full mag so its not a life or death problem..
