I think I can resist...

My XD-9 SC can hold 30 rounds! (if needed)
And with the .40 sub compact mags holds a good 13 round +1 so I'm pretty content.

The XDM-40 has its own niche I think. at least for me.
Home defense rig, with enough stooping power, (for a handgun) full size tac rail, and high cap mags, not to mention you don't have to worry about being able to conceal it.

Now an XDm-9mm pistol? maybe for target shooting, and competition.
Unless you are talking about a sub compact XD-m in 9; then I'd be all over it like white on rice!

Will these be available for us poor unfortunate souls who live in states that restrict the number of rounds a mag can hold? It's great that it can hold 19+1, but NY is limited to 10. I would love a nice 9mm for target, .45 gets a little expensive after a while. Thanks!

As a defensive round, if you get a modern 9mm bullet (JHP with proper power), there's not much difference between it and the .40. I still give the .45 its due, but becoming less impressed with the .40 the more I read. Might have to trade in my XD40 for an XDm 9

I talked to a dealer in south jersey (who sells ALOT of XDs) and he said he talked to Springfield Armory and they supposedly will be coming out with NJ legal magazines early next year. He didn't mention capacity, but I would think SA would try to make it work for all of the restricted states... so probably 10. Maybe 15 though. At least I'm optimistic!

Thanks Dave. I figured SA wouldn't forget about us... just hope its sooner rather than later. I want to pick up a few more handguns before the democrats potentially get into office.
