Thank You Nolt,
Anyone can do it with some time, patience and a good temp adjustable soldering iron with a fine tip... Practice on your mag loader first to get a good idea what temp to use and practice technique...
Have a plan as to where you want extra grip... I did mine asymmetrically and kept in mind that left hand shooting is usually done with one hand... I left the thumbrest area clear on the left side so the stippling wouldn't affect mag changes... My normal strong hand grip is high and thumbs forward, so I stippled up to the slide for grip there... Left the back and front straps alone because they are more than grippy enough...
Do the outline first and then color within the lines... Took about 3 hours...
Regards,

Hi All. This is my 9mm I use for USPSA matches. I've Duracoated the slide, Added the Springer trigger job including the trigger bar, Wolfe springs all around, solid guide rod, polished the barrel and guide rod, extended mag release, grip tape, magwell added, titanium striker indicator, aluminum indicator surround, etc. Done it all myself with the knowledge I gain from this forum. Thank You!!! Am a small time gunsmith for locals and club members (by day actually a Paramedic). Machine shop was family business so it was a natural fit... Hope you like and thanks to all who contribute to this forum. [/IMG]
