Great idea and setup! I've done the same thing with my (2) 1911's (TRP Operator and Colt Gold Cup). Springfield just released a new case for the 1911's. Exactly the same as the black case for the XDM's only gray with the cross arms insig instead of the XDm logo. Looks great, however, I have to fine tune the pistol cut-out portion for them to fit (the Springer suppose to fit but doesn't?). I bought the extra foam inserts from them and reversed it so 2 pistols lay in it with each of their mags section. Got the idea from another member who did it a while ago and is fantastic in keeping "like" pistols in one case. Love it! Hadn't done so yet but will post pics when I do.

X-Treme rubber grips

Painted the front sight with neon orange acrylic paint, the white dot was set so deep and shadowed. The orange is built up more so the light hits it better, it's bright, and much easier to focus on, especially with both eyes open
