Maybe you can post a comparison between the two. My XD-S is the only SA I own; I'd be interested in learning how you believe it stacks up against the 3.8.

So you can conceal the 3.8 45 easily?

You should be fine with the 3.8 compact. I'm 5'7" 135 lbs. I cc a xd45 compact all day long. Never an issue. I wear a IWB holster in the 5 o'clock position.

Your choice will be a good one! Nothing against the XDs either. I want one those for a backup!

im 5'8'', 165 and i carry a xdm 3.8 compact with no issue. just need a good holster and belt.

I threw on one of the thinnest shirts I own. It's one of my old hanes under shirts. Paper thin... Lol

Of course this would print if I bent over, or maybe if I twisted just right. Just a demonstration as to how easy it would be to conceal. Not sure, but both compact versions (XD45 compact & XDm 45 3.8 compact) shouldn't be much of a size difference. Also, kidney carry works for me. Might take some getting used to. I've been carrying this way for close to 9 years. You get used to it. That's my view point.
