Echoing the above, I've got ~2000 rounds thru my 4.5" XDM 9, with exactly zero failures of any kind. Given that when I got it I was a novice just learning proper grip/etc., and about 200 of those were 'weak hand' only, I'd say it is pretty hard to get this sucker to fail...

For the record, absolutely love this gun.

Also I'd appreciate any feedback on Powder River precision trigger kits and Springer precision trigger kits as I am thinking about putting one into this XDM and my XD9SC.
I think you will be very happy with the XDM. Regarding the trigger kit, there is a school of thought (especially among old-timers like me) that you do not change or mess with the stock trigger of your carry gun. The view is that a trigger kit will always statistically increase the chance of a malfunction, even if it is only a small increase. There is also the legal arguments that can be raised where you installed a trigger kit and then later used the gun in a self-defense situation. I know, sounds crazy, but there are a few communist states in the U.S. that go after people who defended themselves.

I have got to say, my stock trigger in my XDm 40 compact is very nice. I have about 1K rounds through it at this time. I thought it was very good with only the first magazine through it. I would not change out the trigger until you fire it. I'm sure the PRP and Springer kits are great, but you may not need one.

The Only FTF's I have had at all have been ammo related (out of spec reloads), not gun related. I shoot both strong hand and weak hand all the time.

FTF...FTE...what's that? XD/XDMs will fire no matter what. Left hand, right hand, supported ,or not, limp wristed the guns just flat out work. ALL the time.
Any questions........didn't think so.

I have never changed the trigger on any XD i've owned ...

My M&P got APEX'd in two days , and my glock 29 was fitted with a ghost rocket kit (best trigger I've ever used).

I love stock XD triggers though , and will keep my XDs stock !

I agree, any auto can fail due to limp wristing. Don't get why you would try either but I will say my XDm's have never had a problem w/ my boys 8-1/2 & 13 shooting them. Yes they have limp wristed the gun. That's not to say yours will not have problems though, as each gun is different.
