Took an old friend out today

I went to the range today specifically to use my new 9mm Witness Compact that I got last week. I'm really liking this gun and I'm doing well with it. So I wanted to shoot it again (having taken it out last week for its maiden voyage). I'm thinking this will be my carry pistol, if I ever get to carry (Maryland resident). But of course, that's not the old friend that I'm talking about. That would be my XDm.

I've had the XDm for a few years now. It was really good to use her again. I try to take all of my pistols to the range in turn because I like all of them. This XDm has never had a failure of any type. It goes bang every time and the slide locks back every time it's empty. I have other pistols that have not failed either, but they don't have the round count of this one.

I've added fiber optics and X-treme grips. I have other pistols that I'm more accurate with, but this is one that I'll never sell. The acuracy issue is my problem, not the gun's. It was like seeing an old friend again. Always a pleasure, and she does her part if I do mine.

Man that's a sweet looking gun...personally I think you need to take her to the range all the time so you can show her off.

I'm more accurate with my XDM.40 than any of my others.... as long as I do my part. LIke you, I have had zero failures of any sort, and don't think mine will ever leave my family.

I usually load up all of my family members when going to the range... don't want any of them to feel lonely!!

As I said, I do have other pistols that I've had no trouble with, but none that I've shot as much as this one. I have total confidence in the XDm.

The only other thing I might do to it is a PRP trigger kit.
