Want to buy first pistol/xdm
The warden ( my old lady ) has finally given me the ok to buy an xdm, I was wanting to go with a 40 4.5 inch od green/black and was wondering where the best place would be to pick one up from or what price i should expect. Ive seen 580 @ budsguns but havent really used my googlefu very much. Anything else you guys can tell me would be appreciated like trigger mods/night sites or what IWB holsters you use etc.

$580 is definitely on the lower end; you can find them a bit cheaper if you do some digging. My local shops are carrying them for $650. In terms of trigger jobs, get a Springer or PRP kit and you won't be disappointed. I just purchased some Trijicon HD night sights but there has been a bit of a wait for retailers to acquire them. Lots of flavors for holsters and I don't have experience with IWB so I'll leave that to someone else to comment on. Good luck!

I like Bud's and live about an hour away from there, but call around to your local shops. I found a shop much closer to me that had my XDm 40 compact for $15 less than Buds, plus I only had to drive about 1/3 the distance. Don't rule out your local guys over a few bucks even if they ARE a bit higher. They'll be there for you if/when you have a problem, need advice, etc. You can't exactly stop by Bud's from Wisconsin!

Just bought a XDm 9mm 4.5 for $525 shipped from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore.
Seems to be just about the best prices around right now.

$525 is an awesome price for an XDM. I paid a lot more for mine when they first came out so prices have definitely dropped since then.

Everywhere else I had been looking was around $650. Locally, the only one I could find was closer to $700.
