I believe they all come with the gear and case. Most only 2 mags though instead of 3.

The 5.25 is the only one that comes with 3 mags. But every model gets the case and gear.

as far as the 3.8 compact, yes. i bought a 3.8 and a 5.25 the same day. the only thing different with the 3.8 compact, is that it only has 2 mags. one 13 rnd, and one 19 rnd for the "sleeve" to fit over to make it a full size grip. (the full size mag still works without the "sleeve", just a bit tingly like a baseball hit improperly,) i don't know if the full size grip/frame of the 3.8 has the 3 mags like the 5.25. talk to your dealer.

honestly, i like my 3.8 better than the 5.25. to me, it seems to recoil less. i know, the bigger 5.25 "weighs more" and should "adsorb" the recoil better, but to me, with less reciprocating mass of the smaller slide of the 3.8, i think it shoots better. not as accurate because of the shorter sight radius, but better recoil management.

Thanks guys! The reason I ask is because I will b picking up the wife a 3.8 by the end of the month and I'll either get me a 4.5 or a 5.25 by mid June. Having a hard time between choosing between the 2. I'm not worried concealing it! I live out in the country and don't go to town/city often. If I do go into town, wife is wit me and she will carry her 3.8. Guess its all up to me!

If I were you I'd save the money and buy the essentials package without all the junky plastic bits and put that money towards a decent holster, a good mag pouch, and an uplula reloader.

I got the 4.5 and came with hard case, 2 mags, holster ( cheap one, it loooks ok but not good for ipsc) mag holster...

All of mine came with the stock mags and all came with the "free" 3 mag deal.
