3.8 in od/ss?

hello this is my first post ever..i have been seeing pictures of the 3.8 40 cal xdm in od/ss and would like to own one..however every site i see it on is sold out, and the S.A. site doesent even say it exists...anyone know whats up? thx

I finally found one yesterday and made the purchase as my first handgun! It was an XDm 3.8 9mm od/ss. From my understanding, S.A. made the OD frames in limited supplies and have discontinued them, making them hard to find.

Welcome to both of you. I have a 9mm 4.5 in od/ss. It's a beautiful gun but any future XDms will probably be black. The reason being is that after you put PRP grips on the frame and aftermarket sights on the slide your gun ends up half black anyway.

Cali_gunner, I'm interested in the limited supply part of your post. Is there anywhere that I could read about that? I hadn't heard about that.

Nah I dont think there's anything online talking about how much they'd produced. I was just informed that by multiple gun stores. I had called about 8 stores and 7 of the 8 were not able to order me one. They all had told me they were made in limited numbers and had discontinued the color for now.
