Like all guns I own, the XDm is far more accurate than me!

Having been a 1911 guy for years, I had a hard time transitioning to the XDM 5.25 .45 Comp, I think primarily due to the trigger and the sights don't help either. In the booth going ultra slow, it's not bad. However, in match practice or any time where you are sppeding things up, that sloppy trigger and long travel makes it hard to keep the groups tight. I've been avoiding modding the trigger until I feel comfortable with getting the best I can out of the stocker, and to decide if I even want to keep this thing, but the reality is, in match conditions, I cannot shoot this anywhere near as well as even my worse 1911, even my CCW Ultra. Practice with this thing is helping, but it's still pretty far off. Might just be me, but that's my .02 fwiw.

Dry fire dry fire dry fire! You learn the trigger feel and break super well and I noticed my shooting got much better between range trips when I dry fire often.

You have to get a trigger job to shoot this gun in competition. It will never be a 1911 trigger, but it makes a huge difference.

I shoot better with my XD 9 subcompact than most (if not all) of the armed security officers in my company. A little training and practice goes a long way.
