I had much the same experience. I "inherited an XD(M) 4.5 for Christmas from my wife who just didn't like the feel of it as well as she did the XD Service, so I took it to the range with a few boxes of PMC Bronze and a box of Walmart WhiteBox 9mm. loaded a couple of mags up, picked up the firearm and sighted in on the 15yd target. Fired the weapon, hit the exact spot I was aiming at, looked at the rangemaster next to me, said "I'm done." and laughed at his expression.

I did shoot it a bunch more, but it is a very finely balanced firearm. I'm liking it a whole bunch. Fed everything it's been loaded up with, from WWB to powerball.
