White Dot Fell Off My Front Sight
Hi All, I have had my new XDm 40 cal 3.8" barrel, for about two weeks, have shot 96 rounds through it so far. Yesterday the white dot paint just kind of fell off the front sight. Now it is just black.
So what would you do in this situation?
Send for repair to SA.
Get the White Out out of the desk.
Order that green paint thing for 7 bucks.
Drop $100+ on actual 3rd party sights.

dot fall off. or is it just DIRTY????
Clean it, see what it looks like afterwords...
If after cleaning it, it has totally disappeared, then use fingernail polish on it with a toothpick.

It's not dirty... It's like it is paint that kind of dried up got bumped and fell off. There is just a black inverted dimple left...

take some fingernail polish and put in with a tooth pick...
or a good reason to send slide out and get the sight you want...

That shouldn't happen to a new gun... I'm anal when it comes to that stuff so I'd probably send it in myself - even though I'll probably end up with night sights eventually.

finger nail polish and you can change it to any color you want, quick/cheap/durable
This was right after I did them, they've gone through around 1000 or so rounds since then and still look great. I also recently installed a LG-448 Crimson Trace.
