I do shoot IDPA. In fact We had a match this past thursday.

The M&P is pretty much a laser gun compared to my XDm. I mean, it's a pretty drastic difference, like comparing a 9mm to a .22.

That being said there are things I still like about the 3.8. It fits in my hand better and is WAY more comfortable to carry.

Here's the vid from my shoot. I'm still new to IDPA, so I move slow... But I think you'll be able to see how little muzzle flip the M&P has...

Conrad I love both of my XDMís but one thing I found different between my 9mm 3.8XDM & my 9mm 4.5XDM is that 4.5 had such a hard trigger pull I shot like crap. I had to put a PRP trigger on it and now itís fine. I also own a 3.8XDM and the pull is half of the other gun and I have not had to do anything to the trigger. At times I am more accurate with the 3.8 XDM it just seems to fit and fire better for me.

I added the new PRP trigger kit, titanium striker and safety, stippled the frame, added a tungsten guide rod and heaver Wolff recoil spring. Quick accurate double taps!!!
