XDM Slide lock not working
the slide lock does not engage on the last shot of fire, any ideas? This was the very first time I have shot the gun, it worked a few times, but I put 250 rounds in it, maybe it was just dirt?

If you can't go shoot it right away, you might just put the mag in empty and rack it. If it does lock back every time, it is probably just the thumb...

The slide lock has been a constant source of frustration to me as well. Seems like it doesn't take much touch to keep it from engaging. That and the trigger would make me advise others that they might want to look at other pistols before opening up their checkbook on an XDm. The need to change my grip from how I shoot my XD 45 to my XDm totally ruins the idea of a consistent grip.

Welcome to shooting a different gun. You have to adjust.

Its most likely ur thumb holding it down. As far as changing your grip, that comes into play everytime you change pistols. there is no way I can grip my duty M9 like I do my Xdm 40. Two toatally diffrent animals.

True enuf. Just was expecting consistency within the brand in terms of trigger and slide lock.
Not that I am a Glock love it or leave it kind of guy, in fact I haven't owned a Glock in several years but it pretty much doesn't matter which model or caliber you pick up. The trigger and and slide lock are going to be the same.
I love my XD 45 but my jury is still out on the XDm at this point. However, one plus on my XDm is that I haven't had a single malfunction in 1000+ rounds. My XD 45 mags seem to be causing me issues. I just replaced springs in them but it could be several weeks before I have the chance to see if that cured my XD failure to feed issues.
