Anyone use the PRP Reduced power spring kit?

Has anyone installed the PRP XD/XDM Reduced Power Spring kit ($11.90) as opposed to the PRP Trigger kit ($87.15)? If so, what do you think of your trigger now? Was it easy to do? Does PRP include instructions so that you can do it yourself?

Thanks for any input.

I installed the whole kit because the same parts have to be removed to get to the springs.

Installing the springs are an easy task as far as I am concerned but I cannot comment on what the trigger is like with just a spring replacement. I know it would not affect take up and reset. Only would affect trigger pull weight a little bit.

No instructions are included that I remember. I got the knowledge from several videos posted on this forum or links to YouTube videos posted by the knowledgeable members here.

Thanks Tally. I'll probably pass on the whole thing. I'm betting that the trigger job is more than I can handle.

I believe you would be surprised. Its actually pretty easy and with the videos and writeup's available I think nearly anyone could do it.

I installed the whole kit for three of my XDs.Yes you will notice a lighter trigger pull if the springs are installed. I too nearly passed this whole mod on untill I read the thread on the installation, and the youtubes instruction. After doing the first gun,the second and third were a breeze. Its also good that now I know how things work on my XDs.The most significant change is the crispier trigger without the long over travel. It actually increase my accuracy alot at the range.
