I have that kit. I bought the version with the replacement sear spring and trigger spring.
From what I recall, the trigger is in pretty much the same start position as it was when stock. I have long, thin fingers and having to bend my trigger finger in would annoy me too. I still do have to bend my finger inward to some degree because of how thin the grip is near the top of the frame. In fact, I wish the XDM grip were thicker or that they made a #5 or #6 grip panel because it would better fit my hand but it's still far better than any Glock I own.
The reset is somewhat longer than I expected it to be but it was so easy to get used to that after one match I didn't even notice it anymore. Now it feels fine and I can just shoot it since I'm used to it (if that makes any sense).
For me, the PRP kit was definitely worth the money.
