gun shop
I initially questioned my new gun due to the lack of a NRA gun of the year logo but I have to say the guys I bought it from a pretty freaking cool. I asked them if they clean guns for a fee and if so could I pay them and watch how they do it. Instead of that he told me to bring it in and he cleaned it thoroughly and showed me how to do each step, how cool is that?
After that was done they did not even try to see me anything. cool, cool people. I can say that this place will ALWAYS get my business. It feels good when someone you buy a product from takes that much care in what they do. |

Sounds like a pretty decent place. It is to bad you did not tell us where it is and what the name of the Co is. I would expect what they did out of any decent shop though. I usually patronize the smaller gun shops. You get better service similar to what you recieved. Except for employees of big gun stores most gun people are very helpful and nice ecspecially to Newbs such as yourself.

Pacific NW. It's service like that that keeps me supporting my local toy store. I trust them; they trust me. I have questions? They are more than happy to provide the information. And they are competitive.

Wish I could say the same here. I went to my local shop today to check out their ammo for my dad and fondle some firearms. It's a small shop and an older couple run the store, but they have the worst attitudes. Their prices are steep for the most part (hallow points are decently priced), so they probably won't see my money on the big purchases. I looked into this shop when looking for my XDm, but decided to drive 40 miles out of the way to save $120ish and recieve better customer service.

I have seen this and the exact opposite out of some of the local gun shops. One around here is super helpful IF YOU FREQUENT THE STORE. The first time in you will probably get a somewhat cold shoulder, which doesnt make much sense to me. This happens to be the store I frequent as I use their range almost every weekend and as I have gotten to know them, and they me, they are all pretty good guys. However it seems to take a few visits, perhaps to show you are not just someone who is out to waste their time by handling 50 guns and not ever buying anything.
Another store I've been to that I do not go to very often is just plain rude all the time, they act very much as if they are better than you no matter what. Seems bad for business. I dont understand why places treat their customers that way. If someone gives me the time of day and takes extra time to assure I am happy I will go back without question. |

My local shop is really good with customer service, especially if you are a first time gun owner. It is family owned and my family has been going there for close to 30 years. My aunts FIL used to be the armorer. So you would expect I get good service. I have been in there many times when a noob is looking at his/her first purchase, most times they ask...."What gun do you recommend?" and the answer is what fits you and is most comfortable to you. They don't try to sell the most expensive gun they have just to rip off someone that doesn't know. I have even seen them take someone who has just purchased their first handgun downstairs to the range and help them out. That's why when someone asks me what is a good place to buy a firearm I always say Valley Guns.

C and C Guns in Vancouver, WA
C and C Guns in Vancouver, WA is the shop i was referencing.
I will defintiely buy from them for everything I can going forward. I am also looking into a small carry pistol and they put me in the direction of something inexpensive rather than trying to upsell me. Good guys. |

If you ever get a chance, go visit Fall City Firearms someday.
That's the shop my dad and I ALWAYS went to when we lived in North Bend. Also, if you go to the Snoqualmie Valley Rifle Club range, you may even get to see my Eagle Scout project (assuming they've not taken it down). I posted the range rules on a more "permanent" media. They're good folk. At least they were 15 years ago.
