XD-M - 10 round magazine for California
My father purchased an XD-M (black 40 cal) for me recently (thanks!).
Problem is I live in California and would like to transfer the gun to me here.
Has anybody found 10 round magazines for this gun from the factory or after-market?

You could try calling Springfield directly, though I am not sure about 10 rounders for the M. I don't believe the XDm series is approved for "California purchase" yet for just this reason.

Ya know... as an aside, I never did understand the "Clinton gun ban" magazine restrictions or the ones the several States have kept on. It's like, here we have a law abiding citizen, who because he might have a magazine of a certain capacity above that approved by the State, will suddenly be overcome by a fit of pique and say to him or herself... "Gee, I gotta couple of extra rounds here... guess I'll go out on the streetcorner and gun down a few people!"
As if..!

I think that you flat out of luck. At this point I haven't seen any 10 round magazines for the XDm and find it somewhat surprizing that SA hasn't gotten around to releasing one. Maybe when the 45 caliber version hits the market they'll release the 10 rounders but currently you can have the gun, just not any magazines for it.

I would get in contact with some of the custom shops that provide services to the members of the forums and so on. They might be able to throw something together for you.
