I pulled the trigger today, so to speak

I made my commitment on an XDm in 9 today. I won't be able to pick it up until next Tuesday, since I live in the People's Republic of Maryland. But I'm kind of excited about it. I like the trigger on those and expect it will only get better with use. So I'll be able to be more of a 'participator' rather than a 'question asker' here on the forum. (I'll probably still ask questions though.) I'll also post a range report after I try it out.

Thanks to all who responded to my questions.

Now you can join the ranks of gun owners looking for ammunition...

I have an XDm 9mm, bought in December 2008 when they first came out. I have had no failures of any kind on any ammo that I run through it. I am absolutely pleased with my XDm 9.

Thanks for all the 'Welcomes'.

I'm not a new gun owner, just new to Springfield. I've got a SIG P229 that I love and a CZ 75B that I love but can't shoot well. It will probably be on consignment soon. So I'm already in the ranks of those looking for ammo. In semi-auto I'm sticking with .22lr and 9mm to keep the costs down. I'm finding both, just paying more for it. In the Baltimore area 9mm is going for $19 or more / box of 50. I just bought some MagTech in Delaware for $15 / box.

So I'm looking forward to getting the XDm and talking with you folks more.
