First time with XDm at the range....

Hello everyone, went to the range today for the first time with my new XDm .40. All I can say is WOW!!! I love this gun I put about 150 rounds through it and was getting pretty good groups at 15 yards. I am completely amazed, this is my first .40 and I am ecstatic about it. Thanks to all those who contribute to this forum I have gained a lot of knowledge here.

Sounds fun! I'll be picking up my XDm 9mm this week. Can't wait to shoot it!

Shot mine (XDm 9) yesterday for the first time also....

250th round fired just as smoothly as the 1st...

Only change I made (after 50) was swapping the factory guide rod for the solid tungsten guide rod I picked up from Rick at Canyon Creek....

Awesome! What a noticeable difference!

I was wondering about that. So you'd recommend it then? Does it just reduce recoil, or are there other benefits?

The XDm in .40 is amazing. Sold my G23 because of it.
I just recently picked up a conversion barrel for the XDm.
Can not wait to try it in 9mm

I have the solid guide rod from wolffe and I thought it made a considerable differance in muzzle flip.. On a side note I have a TON to learn.. I was at Advanced Ranges with the wife yesterday throwing some rounds down the range when I was chatting with Steve Fisher about the grips on my gun he shot 6 rounds.. Holy Frigin Crap.. I didn't realize that gun could be that accurate.. All be it at 10 yards.. but only one wasn't touching another..

Thanks! I have yet to shoot the XDm, but this could be a great mod, especially since the wife will be shooting it too.

Let us know how the conversion works out. I'm still curious.
