Hahaha, it IS! And if you buy elsewhere & ship to them their FFL is $50!
I guess they're still cheaper than Bass Pro, but I have yet to find a cheap FFL here.

Stainless/Black approx. $525 in a round about way.
Had a Glock 19 I picked up for $499, shot it some and did a $25 trigger job. Sold the Glock for $600 and picked up a NIB S&W 686 for $570, while I loved the big revolver I couldn't shoot it very well for "ergonomic" reasons, so I went to see if I could work out a deal on another gun and I bumped into a guy who traded me the XDM straight up for the 686. Of course this figure excludes tax on the transaction to buy the revolver. But I'd say for about $525 actual cash investment in the firearm, I made out like a bandit . I think I have a Keeper this time though, love the ergo's, shoots great. Cant wait to try a trigger job and see if the XD doesn't replace the coveted place in my heart that is usually occupied by 1911's. If only CCF Race Frames would offer a steel frame for the XDM, like they do for Glocks, I would have no longing for any other firearm.

FYI: A low volume gun store pays around $515~ for an XM(M) for the Blk/Blk or Blk/ODG.
