I UNDERSTAND do not mount a flashlight to the Rail on my gun. BUT that is what I want. I have installed a Phone with a flash light in EVERY room in the house including the bathroom. I have moved furniture around to make it safer for my wife and I to stay in our bedroom when the bad guy comes. I want a Light that strobes with a laser on the end of my gun. What recommendations do you all have an internal laser with a separate light or a set up like the STREAMLIGHT TLR-2 w/LASER or a separate Flash light and laser? Does any one make a Strobe version? I am now keeping the gun in my headboard drawer with the mag next to it I want my head to take the time to clear as I load it.

We got robbed a year ago. At that time I bought a gun and have been to classes on how to use it in self defense. My two count them two two DAMN dogs Slept through the ordeal. The BG was less that 6 feet away moving through the hall way with our work computer.

Please no Flames. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I purchased a veridian x5l. Put through somewhere around 1000 rounds so far, no probs at all. Has the laser/flashlight with the ability to strobe the flashlight. I see they have a new model the x5l uhp (or something like that) which I haven't a clue what that is.

Dont worry what anyone else says about having a light attached, it's your gun and you're the one who has to defend yourself the way you think best. I like having a laser and flashlight always with my gun. :shrug:

I also have a laser light on my set up on my XDm 40 for HD. I know where my kids are and I have a alarm through out my house on every door and window. My family is aware of what will happen if that alarm goes off. I have 4 kids and they know not to open that door or window with out my knowledge.

i have a sig stl-900l and the viridian x5l. you can't really go wrong with either i guess.

Wow, I didn't realize the TLR-2 also came with a lighter attachment. Is that for lighting the flame thrower on the from end?

+1 on the TLR-2. I didnt get the Flame Thrower Attachment tho, wish I would have could prove useful.

veridian x5l I think this is going to be my laser light combo. I like the strobe flash it looks like it will disorientate the bad guy. I went shopping for the Veridian at the local gun store and the closest I can get is the tlr2 streamlight. So it looks like a long wait for the laser. I was playing with a strobe flash light and I had problems focusing for over 30 seconds, I could see again after 5 seconds yes but fine tune took time. If the bg comes at night and he is hit with the pulsing light that should give me a moment longer to get the knock down shot on the first try.

It would be good to have a holster that works with the laser/light but this is going to be a home on the night stand gun.

I went with the SIG Sauer 900 series and love it i have had it off and on the gun and it stays Zero'd in where ever the laser is point is where the bullet goes
