Another Jammer
I just bought a 40s&w xdm and thought Springfield made pretty decent firearms. I stand to be corrected on that though.
I sent it back and the invoice said 0 behind polishing feed ramp, polishing chamber, polishing lug.
It now has over 500 rounds through it and jammed 9 times after they fixed it.
Ive tried remington, winchester and magtech ammo no difference. Bought new magazines for it and does the same thing.
Likes to jam the first one off the top of the magazine regardless if you have 2 or 16 rounds in it.
I already tried pulling back on the slide and letting it slamm shut and even let others shoot it. Same old thing.
Im hopping its the pistol because Im sure the rest of you dont deserve a pos like this.
Any ideas since they couldnt fix it.

Wow, that bites. I'd ship it back again. I might take a video to send along with it. I'd expect a new gun at some point.

I think you got a lemon! That's a damn shame. My XDM has treated me as good if not better than ALL my other pistols past and present combined. Now I'm curious to see if SA steps up and takes care of the issues. They seem to have great customer service but I've never had to deal with them. Please, if and when this is resolved let us know how they were in this aspect. Otherwise, it could be a number of issues but it sounds like you are not that new to firearms so I'll leave the obvious unsaid. Best of luck!

Sorry to hear about yours jamming. I just picked up two XDm9's and have run over 500 rounds of three different brands of ammo through them with no issues. I would send it back as well, the video idea mentioned earlier seems like a great idea.

The XDM is a fantastic gun. Not ONE gun manufacturer can make every single firearm perfect. They are humans to and humans make mistakes. Id request/demand a new one IF its truly mechanical;.
BUT, in all honesty I think your the problem. Most people that have this happening is due to their grip. MAKE SURE- your fingers are away from the mag release use a high thumb fancy grip. This has happend to quite a few on here and the concensus seems to be its a grip issue. So learn to hold the gun properly in a different form.

I had a similiar issue with mine, but I really think it came down to the Winchester white box ammo. Used Blazer Brass this weekend with no jams or failure's. Good luck with the outcome!

Ask them to refund you for the magazines if you bought them to diagnose your gun.
